Founded in 2007, The Motor Report is Australia’s fastest growing and most trusted independent automotive news and reviews website.
For a number of years, The Motor Report operated as a small car blog and while many changes were made to the website, it always stayed as nothing more then a blog.
While the content of the website was continually improving, a number of great ideas were halted by the severely limiting blog outlay. It was clear that a full redesign was needed to guarantee smooth growth in the future.
For a little over 2 months we worked hand-in-hand with the TMR team to develop a completely new outlay for the website consisting of over a dozen unique pages.
Every single page was designed to deliver the best possible experience for the specific content that was presented, from images, to search queries, to news articles and editorials.
One very important section of the new website were the 'Car Showrooms'. The idea here was to cater to people who were interested in news, reviews and other media of a specific car brand and all the models made by that manufacturer.
Every single manufacturer which was picked to have a 'Car Showroom' section on the website received a consistent, yet unique design for their page which reflected the way the manufacturer wanted to present themselves to the public. The initial batch of showrooms included over 20 different brands such as BMW, Lexus, Mercedes-Benz and Hyundai.
